Finnish Air Force display schedule for 2025

The Air Force's F/A-18 Hornet multirole fighter releases flares into the sky during an air show display.
In 2024, the Finnish Air Force Hornet solo display was flown by Captain Petteri Kairinen from Karelia Air Wing.

Finnish Air Force flight activities can be seen at home and international air shows as well as in other events.

In season 2025 the Air Force F/A-18 Hornet solo is flown by Captain Paulus Kärnä from Lapland Air Wing and the season’s stand-in display pilot is Ville Tuomainen from Karelia Air Wing. Read more about the F/A-18 display.

The members of the Finnish Air Force’s official aerobatic display team Midnight Hawks are Captain Ville Kirijatshenko, Captain Arttu Majuri, Captain Lauri Lappalainen, Captain Petteri Wahlgren and Captain Ville Mattila who is the display commentator and music master. The team supervisor is Captain Juho Tervahartiala.

The Hawk solo is flown by Captain Tuomo Lilleberg from the Air Force Academy.

The Air Force reserves the right to changes in the schedule. The list of events will be updated during the year.

Flight activities are subject to weather conditions. The published details of flight activities may change for example due to prevailing flight conditions.

The Air Force’s aerobatic display team performs formation flying, leaving striking vapour trails in the sky from their jet trainers.

All members of the Midnight Hawks aerobatic team serve as flying instructors at the Air Force Academy.
