The first group of Finnish Air Force personnel began their initial training in September at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

The Finnish Air Force will conduct the Protective Fence 25 exercise from 22 to 26 September 2025. The exercise will involve a total of around 50 aircraft and 1,200 personnel.

The Royal Norwegian Air Force Commander, Major General Øivind Gunnerud and the Chief of the Royal Danish Air Force, Major General Jan Dam visited the Air Force Academy on Wednesday 13. August, and participated in Hawk air operations. The visit was hosted by the Finnish Air Force Commander, Major General Timo Herranen.
