The Air Force surveils and protects Finnish airspace 24/7.
Finland participated in NATO’s large-scale live-fly exercise in the Netherlands alongside Allied nations from 31 March to 11 April 2025.
The Commander of the Finnish Air Force visited Lockheed Martin's F-35 production line in Fort Worth and the Ebbing Air National Guard Base in Fort Smith at the end of March.
In January, the Air Combat Centre organised a training event at Satakunta Air Wing, where five U.S. F-35 pilots arrived to inform Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) personnel about the F-35’s capabilities and operating the fighter jet.
