2.12.2019 | The funeral of World War II fighter pilot Captain Johannes Brotherus will take place at the New Chapel of the Hietaniemi Cemetery in Helsinki on Tuesday 3 December. The Finnish Air Force will honour the event with an F/A-18 Hornet flypast.

17.9.2020 | The Finnish Air Force will conduct the Ruska 20 air operations exercise from 28 September to 6 October 2020. More than 60 aircraft and around 4,800 personnel will take part in the service’s major exercise. The Swedish Air Force will also participate in Ruska 20.

22.9.2017 | The Finnish Air Force (FINAF) will conduct the Ruska 17 air operations exercise between 9 and 13 October. More than 60 aircraft and approximately 5,100 personnel will take part in it. In addition to the Finnish Defence Forces’ troops, aircraft and personnel of the Swedish Air Force will also participate in the exercise both as part of the forces practising air defence tasks and in the role of opposing forces.

19.9.2016 | The Finnish Air Force's Ruska 2016 Exercise is set to take place on October 10 to 14. Exercise assets will include over 50 aircraft and approximately 2,600 personnel. The Swedish Air Force will also deploy aircraft for the event. They will cooperate with Finnish Hornets on target emulation sorties in support of the exercise objective.
